The Brothers Groove have been nominated in the Outstanding live performance category for the 2005 Detroit Music Awards. The Band and Chris Codish are also Special Honorees this year in three categories meaning they are not elligible because of three years of consecutive wins in Outstanding Urban/Funk Group, Outstanding Urban/Funk Musician, and Outstanding Urban/Funk Songwriter.
